Conference Registration Opens!

Early bird registration is now open for the first annual Academic Fest and the 4th annual Games, Learning and Society conference. In addition to the early bird savings, there is also an additional discount for attending both conferences. Academic Fest: July 8-9, GLS July 10-11.

Academic Fest Keynotes Confirmed

We are happy to announce that our keynote speakers for Academic Fest have been confirmed. Robert Wisher, Bernie Dodge, and Stephen Downes are all confirmed July 8-9 in Madison! We are still adding some additional featured speakers and finalizing the schedule. Early registration will open this week!

Email forms are working!

Thanks to hard work by Joe and some advising by Rick, we now have the email forms working on the site!

New site update

We have fixed some reported bugs, including the broken RSS feed (you can now subscribe to this blog!). Some of the reported bugs are related to a DNS switch we made when activating the site from its development address. Please note that we are still working on an issue related to the email forms in our People section and hope to have this resolved soon.

Welcome to the New Site!

It has been quite sometime in coming but we are very happy to have our new AADLC site up and running. This is our first venture using Drupal and we have been bending the visual components to try to get a unique appearance. We are still making making adjustments but we welcome your feedback.

The blog you are reading is the AADLC Buzz and is a slightly more formal outlet for the latest info on what we are doing. As the site becomes more stable, we will be adding several other blogs, podcasts, and feeds. We will announce these new features through the Buzz so grab the RSS feed to keep tabs on what we are doing!

The Academic Advanced Distributed Learning Co-Lab (AADLC) in Madison, WI announces its first for-profit spin-off company. The company, Filament Games, Inc. has quickly become a leading developer of educational games.
